Every successful company starts with an idea — and that was the case with Round Mouse. In 2019, we decided to try a family project: I was teaching my brother Sergey how to use Unity, my wife Svitlana was on maternity leave, and we thought — why not join forces? That’s how the idea of the studio was born.

Choosing a name took time. We went through hundreds of options before settling on "Round Mouse" — simple and catchy. We created a Facebook page, designed a logo... but nothing moved forward. The idea stayed just that — an idea.
Six months later, our first client came along — and that’s when our journey as a mobile game development studio truly began.
What Held Us Back
Like many others, we were afraid of uncertainty. Would we be able to support our families if we left the safety of regular jobs? I had no experience in negotiations, sales, or management. But I learned on the go — through trial and error.
In the beginning, when the studio was just a hobby, there was no fear. But as we started growing, responsibility kicked in: the first team member who left, the first unpaid project — these challenges became part of growing as entrepreneurs.
Today
Today, we have over 60 published games, a team of professionals, and countless ideas brought to life. But it all started with one small step — and the courage to take it.
If you’re standing at the beginning of your journey, it’s okay to be scared. The most important thing is to start. The rest will come with experience
